Surface Integrity

We have a strong competence in the measurement of surface roughness, waviness, and form error on freeform surfaces. Measurement is essential for part inspection and process control, as it feedbacks into CAM software for form correction by feed scheduling. 

We also study the influence of abrasive processes on surface integrity parameters such as damage and modification of the sub-surface layer. We thus build our own devices for nano-indentation, atomic-force-microscopy, and ultra-sonic-microscopy.
